Medium Term Financial Strategy 2022/23 to 2026/27 reporting timetable: pdf icon PDF 214 KB

The Head of Finance to submit a written report.

Minutes:

15/21 – MEDIUM TERM FINANCIAL STRATEGY 2022/23 TO 2026/27 REPORTING TIMETABLE: The Financial Services Manager submitted a written report which set out a proposed revised timetable for the production and publication of the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for 2022/23 to 2023/24. The revised timetable was set out at paragraph 5.5 of the report.

The Financial Services Manager explained that completion of the MTFS had been delayed following implementation of recommendations of the independent Redmond Review into the effectiveness of external audit and transparency of financial reporting for this period. By delaying the consideration of the MTFS by two months it would also allow full consideration of the Governments decision on Local Government Reorganisation, expected in July 2021, and enable a complete financial outlook to be presented to Council.

RESOLVED (UNANIMOUSLY):

That   (1) That the Medium Term Financial Strategy for 2022/23 to 2026/27 be produced in line with the revised timetable shown in paragraph 5.5.
